Yosemite Lakes Thousand Trails

Yosemite Lakes Thousand Trails is located in Groveland, CA about five miles from Yosemite National Park's west gate.  It is a 400 acre preserve with the South Fork of the Tuolumne river running through the middle of it.  It has 254 full hook up campsites and 130 tent campsites.  It has 14 cabins, 10 bunkhouses, 14 hillside yurts and 8 river yurts for rent. The summer time is the resort's busiest time with swimming, fishing or panning for gold in the river or utilizing the pool and outdoor activities that are available.  It also has a fully stocked country store with groceries and souvenirs.
Now that the busy season is over only one section of the park is open for campers but it is in a good location that is close to the Family lounge and other outdoor activities.  The river is a short walk from the campsites.  We got a great site with some nice neighbors to one side and an open area on the other.  Shadow has plenty of space in the campsite we have.  The laundry facilities are great with plenty of washers and dryers.  The staff is very friendly here and make you feel welcomed.
We did not do much yesterday.  We found a spot, up the road, where we can get cell service so I took the opportunity to check in on my kids and mother.  All is good!  I had let the laundry go for a few weeks so I spent most of the afternoon doing laundry.    Today we are headed into Groveland to get some fuel and some groceries.  I did state there was a grocery store here at the campgrounds but they were out of bread and milk; the two things we need the most.  Besides, when we drove through Groveland on our way to RV resort it looked like a really neat town.  The weather right now is beautiful with warm sunny days and cool clear nights.  It is suppose to change next week with a possibility of rain and possibly snow!
